6574 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Police: How many people, if any, have been charged with a firearms offense from January 1 2024 to date (or the most recent period for which figures are available)?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Police considers firearms-related offences to be any offence in the Arms Act 1983 or any other offence that specifies a firearm was involved. There have been 731 individuals charged for firearms-related offences between 1 January 2024 and 15 April 2024.
