6561 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: How many vacancies, if any, were there in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, as of 1 January 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: As Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, I have no responsibility for any government departments. With regard to Crown entities under the Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio, I am advised that 133.9 vacancies (not including Callaghan Innovation) existed as of 1 January 2024. Please note that Callaghan Innovation no longer has access to the relevant historical data and is therefore unable to provide the requested information.
