6507 (2025). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Associate Minister of Education: How many, if any, lunches that were meant to serve specific dietary or religious needs errantly included inappropriate ingredients, such as ham in a vegetarian meal, during the week of February 17th 2025?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised that the information sought by the Member is not held by the Ministry of Education. However, my expectation is the School Lunch Collective continues to resolve the issues that have arisen in the early weeks of the programme. There are challenges with the rollout of the programme. The Collective is continually improving the programme so it can be bedded in and made sustainable and enduring, unlike the previous iteration of the programme which the Labour led government didn't fund beyond the end of last year.
