6501 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: Does she think reversing Smokefree reforms will decrease the number of people who smoke, and/or the frequency with which they smoke?

Hon Casey Costello: Ongoing trends demonstrate that smoking rates will continue to decrease. Enhancing tools and supports for smokers, while taking a strong preventative approach to stop young people smoking, will further drive smoking rates down.
