6498 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What modelling, if any, has her office or officials done on how much an average smoker is estimated to spend on tobacco products with the repeal of Smokefree laws?

Hon Casey Costello: The Ministry of Health provided advice based on modelling using data from 2019/2020 that chose to ignore New Zealand’s significant smoking cessation progress over the last three years.
