6469 (2025). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Police: How many people have been arrested for a breach of s 7 of the Gangs Act 2024 (dealing with Prohibition on display of gang insignia in public place) but ultimately were not charged?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that for the period from 21 November 2024 to 18 February 2025, there have been 387 individuals who have been proceeded against by Police for breach of section. 7 of the Gangs Act 2024 (dealing with Prohibition on display of gang insignia in public place). Of these, 377 have been charged and 10 are being dealt with through youth referral or non-court processes.
