Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister responsible for the NZSIS: How many roles, if any, have been identified for disestablishment in the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service, resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, listed by role title and remuneration band?

Hon Judith Collins: The NZSIS participated in the Initial Baseline Exercise process as part of Budget 2024. No final decisions have been taken on Budget 2024 by Cabinet yet. These decisions will be announced on 30 May, and the advice underpinning them will be released publicly via the proactive release in the weeks after Budget Day.
