6333 (2025). Helen White to the Minister of Revenue: Will the Minister consult with the charity sector prior to tax settings being changed for the sector, should such changes occur?

Hon Simon Watts: On 24 February 2025, IRD released for public consultation an officials’ issues paper relating to taxation of charities and the not-for-profit sector. The consultation document is available on the IRD website with consultation closing on 31 March 2025. Once feedback has been considered, the Government will decide whether any changes should be made to current the rules.
