6329 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister for Rail: Further to 2302, has the Minister been advised by Kiwirail of any further restructures expected in 2025?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: KiwiRail has signalled its plan to compete on price and schedule reliability, and labour cost is a key issue for every business. As previously noted, KiwiRail is expected to regularly update shareholding Ministers on all significant matters. Like every business, KiwiRail will engage with affected staff before taking decisions on restructures.
