6185 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Resources: Did officials receive submissions, papers, or technical briefings from Trans-Tasman Resources Ltd or Manuka Resources Ltd relating to marine mineral sands or vanadium titanomagnetite, if yes, title and date?

Hon Shane Jones: Officials received one letter from Trans-Tasman Resources Ltd (TTR Ltd) - TTR Letter to Minister of Energy 19 March 2025. TTR Ltd was one of 58 stakeholders contacted by Wood Mackenzie to provide input during the mineral longlisting phase of the New Zealand Critical Minerals List development. Wood Mackenzie received submission through a survey response from TTR Ltd on 28 June 2024. TTR Ltd applied for a subsequent mining permit under the Crown Minerals Act 1991, MP 61486.01, on 26 November 2025. The company submitted a number of documents in support of that application.
