6180 (2026). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for Resources: Is funding available for baseline environmental studies, sediment plume modelling, offshore exploration surveys, vessel procurement or retrofitting, port infrastructure upgrades and consenting preparation work?

Hon Shane Jones: There is no funding available under the Resources portfolio for these activities in general. Funding is available under this portfolio for the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment to complete environmental monitoring related to the Tui field decommissioning process.
