6161 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Rail: What specific speed restrictions, axle-load limits, or service frequency reductions are forecast to be introduced over the next three years as a result of KiwiRail’s deferred renewals, if any, and on which corridors?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: KiwiRail will manage any deferred renewals through increased inspections and maintenance. There are no planned axle-load decreases.
