6075 (2026). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: How, if at all, is the Active Investor Plus visa scheme being monitored to allow her to see the jobs, development and long-term growth that she expects from the scheme and what data is being collected to help in any such monitoring?

Hon Erica Stanford: I receive quarterly reporting on visa volumes and investment, and Invest New Zealand regularly monitors funds deployment. A monitoring and evaluation framework has been developed and will be used to provide regular reporting about whether the Active Investor Plus visa is meeting its longer-term objectives from next year. These will include information about the extent to which the AIP visa is contributing to the economy and what the impact has been for businesses. There will also be a follow up survey that investors are required to complete.
