6031 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Prime Minister: Did Public Service Commission communications activity ahead of the public sector strike day follow discussions held in his office in October 2025 with PSC, DPMC, and Ministers; if not, what is his understanding of how that activity was initiated?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: On 13 October 2025 I attended a meeting held with agency officials and relevant Ministers including the Minister for the Public Service, Minister of Finance, Minister of Education and Minister of Health to discuss the Day of Action. As part of this meeting, the general approach to communications around the Day of Action was discussed. The Commissioner had already developed a communications plan, prior to the meeting on 13 October 2025, including social media as part of its communications strategy.
