5984 (2026). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: When, if ever, had the appointment process begun for Debbie Francis as a Board member for the Teaching Council?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Ministry of Education manages the process for Ministerial appointments to the Teaching Council on my behalf. The process to appoint to the vacant role on the teaching council began on 15 January 2026 when the Gazette Notice was issued. This can be found here: https://gazette.govt.nz/notice/id/2026-go169.
