5969 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Has Cabinet or NZTA approved a full business case and funding envelope for the second Mt Victoria Tunnel (and any associated second Terrace Tunnel / corridor works); if so, on what date(s) were those approvals given and what is the total approved budget?

Hon Chris Bishop: As outlined in my press release of 20 October 2025, the NZTA Board has approved the Investment Case for the SH1 Wellington Improvements project. I refer the Member to my response to Written Question 5570 (2026) for information about funding that has been approved to date.
