5957 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister for National Security and Intelligence: What advice, reports, briefings, aides-memoire, or any other documents, if any, has the Minister or any member of their Office seen about the 'Memorandum of Understanding on Deepening Blue Economy Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of the Government of the Cook Islands and the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China'?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Minister for National Security and Intelligence, I regularly request and receive advice from officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) on a range of matters. It is not in the public interest to identify any advice I have received. Furthermore, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
