Hon David Seymour: I refer the Member to the attached tables, showing the number of referrals made to attendance services in 2023, broken down by region. Please note that: • Data was extracted on January 9, 2024. Data is live and subject to change. • Attendance Service referrals are made up of Non-Enrolment Notifications (NENs) and Unjustified Absences (UAs). • The information contained in this response is for the number of non-enrolled and unjustified absence notifications and not numbers of non-enrolled and unjustified absence students. A student can have multiple cases and across the different Attendance Services for the same year. • Regions are based on the referring school. Students could be counted in more than one region for the same year. • Due to an error in the automatic electronic Enrol System, some Non-Enrolment (NE) cases for Term 4 2023 have only been processed in Term 1 2024.
