5826 (2024). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Education: How much, if anything, has been paid out from the Regional Response Fund in 2023, listed by education region and organisation?

Hon Erica Stanford: I refer the member to the attached table that shows what was paid out from the Regional Response Fund (RRF) for the 2023 calendar year. While the annual fund is $10 million, some of the applications identified in the calendar year timeframe are over different financial years. In 2023, a total of $11,955,867.33 was allocated from the RRF for 524 applications. Funding recipients may be a single school, or could be a single school representing a Kahui Ako (group of schools). The Ministry does not record every single school which may have benefited from RRF funding.
