5791 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How does the Health Assurance Unit plan to work with the Acting Chief Executive of Health New Zealand during its review period, if at all?

Hon Simeon Brown: As I said in the House on 19 February, the Public Service Commission has established the Health Assurance Unit to support our Government's focus on getting health back on track after the previous government decided to restructure the health system in the middle of a pandemic. I am advised that the Acting Chief Executive and Commissioner provide support to the Unit as and when required.
