5791 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: Was he aware his office told New Zealand Herald Casey Costello had full responsibility for delivering 500 Police officers in two years, if so, when was he first aware?

Hon Mark Mitchell: The comment provided to the New Zealand Herald was: "I have delegated Hon Casey Costello to assist in the delivery of that commitment as Associate Minister of Police. I will continue to have oversight as the Minister of Police." If the Member remains confused as to how this works, I refer her to my response to WPQs 4331 and 5111 (2024).
