5778 (2025). Kahurangi Carter to the Minister for Disability Issues: What work, if any, has she requested on providing a pathway to support individuals with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder to access Disability Support Services?

Hon Louise Upston: I have not asked the Ministry of Social Development to complete work relating to supporting individuals with Foetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder to access Disability Support Services (DSS). The DSS taskforce is focused on the implementation of the recommendations of the Independent Review to stabilise DSS. The overall settings for who is able to access DSS support is not on the current work programme.
