5770 (2025). Lan Pham to the Minister for the Environment: How many landfills, if any, currently aren’t or are required to have landfill gas capture?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised, as of January 2025, 27 landfills have landfill gas capture systems as required under clauses 25 and 26 of the Resource Management (National Environmental Standards for Air Quality) Regulations 2004.
