5693 (2024). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Prime Minister: Have all of the details of the traffic light system he announced on 9 April 2024 morning been approved by Cabinet?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: No. The details of the Traffic Light System announced on 9 April 2024 have not yet been developed, as was made clear when the Government’s Attendance Action Plan was announced. The Associate Minister of Education has tasked officials at the Ministry of Education with developing it and, as was clearly stated in the Minister’s press release of 9 April 2024, will return to Cabinet once this work has been completed.
