5689 (2024). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Prime Minister: Is the Minister of Health the Vote Minister for the Suicide Prevention Office?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: Yes – the Minister of Health is the sole responsible Minister for Vote Health expenditure. However, the Minister for Mental Health has oversight of mental health and addiction-related funding within Vote Health, acts on the Minister of Health’s behalf in these areas and keeps him informed as necessary.
