5666 (2025). Arena Williams to the Acting Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (Grocery Sector): What steps, if any, does the Minister intend to take regarding predatory pricing in supermarkets?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Commerce Act contains provisions that prohibit the misuse of market power by a dominant company, which the Commerce Commission independently monitors and enforces. My focus as Minister is on how competition in the sector can be improved to get more competitive pricing and better choice for consumers.
