5665 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs: What is the source, if any, for the Minister's figure that "New Zealanders reportedly lost around $200 million to scams, which is 15 per cent more than the previous year."?

Hon Scott Simpson: There is no centralised reporting of scam losses. The figures referred to combined date obtained from MBIE and CERT, as reported in 2022 and 2023.
