5662 (2025). Hon Barbara Edmonds to the Minister for Infrastructure: How much, if at all, is the government spending on the international investment summit, and what is the breakdown of these costs?

Hon Chris Bishop: It is expected the Summit will cost $1.32 million, including contingencies, which is consistent with events of a similar size and scope. Invited attendees are responsible for their own travel and accommodation. The funding is primarily from the Prime Minister’s Emerging Priorities Contingency Fund and agency baselines. The member will be able to assess whether or not it is a good use of money when she attends the summit.
