5660 (2025). Arena Williams to the Acting Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (Grocery Sector): What regulatory changes, if any, does the Minister believe is required in the supermarket sector?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am actively considering a range of regulatory options to address competition in the grocery sector. The Commerce Commission is also progressing its section 56 inquiry into grocery wholesaling arrangements, is reviewing the Grocery Supply Code, and is investigating land banking.
