5659 (2025). Arena Williams to the Acting Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (Grocery Sector): What "other actions" is the Government "taking at the moment to try and improve the situation” of competition in the supermarket industry?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Government is reforming the Resource Management Act 1991 and Overseas Investment Act 2005, which will reduce barriers to entry and growing in the market. Competition settings for the economy as a whole are being considered as part of the review of the Commerce Act led by the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
