Hon Erica Stanford: The forecasted budget across the suite of Learning Support services in the current financial year is approximately $1.2b. This budget is broken down into multiple initiatives and workstreams across the Ministry and is delivered across the country. It consists of departmental and non-departmental funds. These services are delivered by various platforms including ministry staff, contracted services, and funding directly to schools | kura etc. • ~$650m for attendance related initiatives including but not limited to Alternative Education, Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS), Attendance Services. • ~$380m for specialised workforce initiatives including but not limited to Resource Teachers Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) and Learning Support Coordinators (LSC) • ~$130m for funding to enable schools to directly support their learners and specific needs as required i.e. Operations grants, supports for inclusion grants and in class supports.
