5656 (2024). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister of Education: How many, if, any, Learning Support Coordinators were employed as at the end of March 2024, broken down by region, and if they are employed in Primary, Intermediate and Secondary schools?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that as at 28 March 2024, there are 591.2 full time equivalent (FTE) Learning Support Coordinators (LSCs). I refer the Member to Table 1, showing the number of LSCs employed as at 28 March 2024, broken down by region. I refer the Member to Table 2, showing the number of LSCs employed as at 28 March 2024, broken down by school type. Please note that the numbers in the table represent FTE and not the actual number of employees. Primary schools include full primary and contributing schools, and secondary schools include all secondary school types.
