5646 (2024). Lan Pham to the Associate Minister for the Environment: What, if any, is the average cost of a freshwater farm plan?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: The freshwater farm plan system is new, however analysis included in the Freshwater Farm Plan Regulatory Impact Statement published in July 2022 estimated the average cost to develop a farm plan at $6,000 (with a range of $2,500 - $15,000). The Government has signalled cost effectiveness for farmers and growers is a priority, and this range could change.
