5644 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What health promotion work programmes, if any, are currently underway at Te Whatu Ora?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I’m advised that Health New Zealand has health promotion work programmes focused on the following areas: • First 1,000 days • Alcohol (prevention of alcohol related harm) • Mental health • Tobacco control and vaping • Minimising gambling harm • Education • Nutrition and physical activity • Immunisation • Health resources • Skin cancer prevention I am further advised that each programme consists of a number of sub-programmes or activities related to the main theme.
