5641 (2026). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Justice: Has the Ministry of Justice ever expressed any concerns with the Ministerial Advisory Group for Retail Crime’s spending?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: The Ministry of Justice (the Ministry) provides administrative support to the Ministerial Advisory Group for Victims of Retail Crime (the Group) including financial administration and monitoring. Consistent with this role, the Ministry has on several occasions communicated clear expectations regarding the Group’s expenditure, provided feedback on spending plans and proposed expenditure, and sought further information or clarification as appropriate, on the Group’s expenditure.
