5630 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Police: How many people have the Police referred to the Destiny church subsidiary Man Up, or any other Destiny Church subsidiaries, through the Police AWHI platform in the current financial year?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that Man Up and Legacy, which are subsidiaries of Destiny Church have been AWHI wellness providers in the Tasman region. AWHI identifies support available in a community. These providers are not contracted by Police. Police has reviewed its referrals and has identified that, in the current financial year, Man Up has received nine referrals, with Legacy receiving three referrals through the AWHI system. Referrals could come through a range of mechanisms, including informal suggestions by a frontline officer and it is possible that informal referrals may also have taken place. Police contracts a range of providers to support individuals and whanau in the community. Police is unable to record every case when those providers refer their clients to other providers. Referrals to Man Up and Legacy are currently on hold and the ongoing inclusion of these programmes as part of the AWHI referral pathway are under review.
