5619 (2024). Lan Pham to the Minister for the Environment: Does MfE have data that shows whether freshwater quality outcomes have declined since the implementation of the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management 2020?

Hon Penny Simmonds: No, as the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management 2020 is yet to be implemented. The Government has given regional councils an extension of three years until December 2027 to publicly notify plans that give effect to the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management 2020.
