5586 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: Further to 3230 (2026), how is capacity for School Online Training Programme places assessed in applications?

Hon Erica Stanford: Initial Teacher Education (ITE) providers are responsible for assessing their own capacity to take on students in the School Onsite Training Programme. Capacity is dependent on the number of schools the ITE provider is working with who have expressed an interest in taking on SOTP students and meet the criteria for being a host school.
