5541 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Media and Communications: What process, if any, was followed for the appointment of Susannah Adair Staley to Chair of the Broadcasting Standards Authority?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: A contestable process was run which included public advertisement for expressions of interest in the position. I considered all candidates before progressing my recommendation to the Governor-General through Cabinet processes and formally making my recommendation to the Governor-General for the incumbent's reappointment.
