5540 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Media and Communications: How many other candidates, if any, were considered for the role of Chair of the Broadcasting Standards Authority, and how many, if any, were interviewed?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: A total of six candidates were considered for the role of Chair of the Broadcasting Standards Authority, including that of the incumbent Chair. For this role I recommended the Governor-General reappoint the existing Chair for a further term, therefore no interviews were conducted.
