Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries: Have any specific public consultations or studies been conducted to determine that the public wants the changes the Minister is proposing, particularly with regard to transparency and oversight in the fisheries industry and if so, what were these?

Hon Shane Jones: The public consultation I am currently conducting will help determine what changes the public want to see for the fisheries industry.
