5523 (2026). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many dialysis chairs are currently available for use in the Tauranga Hospital renal unit; and as at 30 June in each of the last five years, how many dialysis chairs were available for use in that unit?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that 14 dialysis chairs are currently available for use in the Tauranga Hospital renal unit. I am further advised there were seven dialysis chairs available as at 30 June 2021, 2022 and 2023, and 14 as at 30 June 2024 and 2025.
