5507 (2024). Cushla Tangaere-Manuel to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: What is the total headcount as at Monday 1 April 2024, for each of the Minister’s Departments, Ministries, and Agencies?

Hon Mark Mitchell: The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is a departmental agency located within the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). DPMC hosts the functional Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery through a Cyclone Recovery Unit (CRU), a business unit of DPMC. In my capacity as the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery I am not a Responsible Minister, the Prime Minister is the Responsible Minister for DPMC. I advise that the headcount for NEMA is 160 as at 31 March 2024 and the headcount for the CRU is 26 as at 31 March 2024.
