5495 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Associate Minister of Transport: Was a selection panel set up to consider applicants for the role of Chair of the Maritime New Zealand Authority and if so, who was on the selection panel?

Hon James Meager: The current Chair was appointed in 2018 by the Minister of Transport at that time. I am advised by the Ministry of Transport that the interview panel consisted of officials from the Ministry of Transport and the Acting Chair of Maritime New Zealand.
