5488 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Environment: How many other candidates, if any, were considered for the role of Chair of the Board of the Environmental Protection Authority, and how many, if any, were interviewed?

Hon Penny Simmonds: Ten candidates were shortlisted for either member or Chair roles; nine were interviewed after one candidate did not wish to be considered further. A suitable candidate for the Chair role was recommended following the completion of interviews.
