Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister responsible for RMA Reform: Where, if at all, does the Minister expect the public to have their say on Fast-track projects given that the Government is soliciting applications for those projects with an intent to insert those approved in an Amendment Paper after the Select Committee submissions and process has closed and the Bill returns to the House?

Hon Chris Bishop: The public has the opportunity to submit applications for listed projects to be considered by the Fast-track Projects Advisory Group. These projects will be subject to assessment by that Group, and Ministers will make final decisions on which projects should be listed in the Bill. The public also have the opportunity to comment on the Bill more broadly through the Select Committee process, submissions to which are open until Friday 19 April 2024.
