5466 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Internal Affairs: How, if at all, was the role of Chief Censor of the Office of Film and Literature Classification advertised?

Hon Brooke van Velden: In 2022 an executive search company co-ordinated the search for candidates for the role of Chief Censor. Candidates were sought from advertising and seeking nominations from public sector agencies that hold nominations databases. When the current Chief Censor was reappointed in 2025 the role was not advertised.
