5424 (2024). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Immigration: What visa criteria is being applied to officials entering New Zealand for the upcoming ASEAN meeting?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that officials attending the upcoming ASEAN meeting are considered to be undertaking official business in New Zealand, and will therefore be assessed under the Business visitor visa criteria. Immigration New Zealand will assess all visa applications to determine whether they meet, or do not meet, the immigration requirements for this category, including health and character.
