5420 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How many, if any, of the social houses funded through Budget 24 and delivered as build to own at 31 November 2025 have been tenanted and how much government funding has been paid to the providers of those houses so far?

Hon Chris Bishop: In accordance with Speaker’s Ruling 210/6, I do not consider the time and expense of officials manually identifying which of these properties were build to own or lease to be in the public interest. With respect to payments, providers invoice the Ministry on a portfolio basis rather than by individual funding streams (such as Budget 2024). At 31 November 2025, around $62M per annum in Budget 2024 funding had been approved and or contracted for CHPs. This response also answers 5422 (2026).
