5412 (2024). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What is the total headcount as at Monday 1 April 2024, for each of the Minister’s Departments, Ministries, and Agencies?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised: NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) had a headcount of 2,918 on 1 April 2024. The Ministry of Transport had a headcount of 241 on 1 April 2024. The Civil Aviation Authority's headcount as at 1 April is not readily available within the timeframe provided. As at 31 March 2024, the Civil Aviation Authority employed 1,853 employees. This includes fixed term and permanent staff. It excludes Casual employees, employees on Parental Leave and long-term Leave without Pay.
